"I learned cooking as a unified art," says Master Chef Hiroshi
Hayashi, founder and principal instructor of the Monadnock
School of Natural Cooking & Philosophy. Over the years, his students and
apprentices have discovered a philosophical foundation for life, and explored
the mysteries of the universe through food.

A ROAD
TO UNDERSTANDING SUCCESS
The Program
Limited to only 40 culinary arts students, the program runs
over the course of two consecutive years, Most instruction will take
place within a modern and commodius kitchen and an elegant dining room,
specifically designed for natural foods preparation and service. Students
will also participate in daily classroom instruction. Such a road requires
full attention and full-time involvement in a journey full of positive
reinforcement. Master Chef Hayashi and his faculty, in a student/faculty
ratio of 4:1, nurture and challenge students to reach maximal potential
through instruction in:

LIFE AT
THE MONADNOCK SCHOOL OF
NATURAL COOKING AND PHILOSOPHY
Situated on 100 acres of beautiful woodland with pastures for
gardens in Peterborough, New Hampshire, the school offers nearby housing
and, of course, all meals.
Students will enjoy four weeks of annual vacation time: two
weeks in April and two weeks in November.
The school offers an A.A.S. specializing in the Art of Natural
Cooking and Philosophy. For over a quarter of a century, we have been
operating our pioneer program in conjunction with various natural food
restaurants. Financial Aid is available through New Hampshire College
